Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • What does Charlie Division do?

Charlie Division provides safety solutions for businesses and organizations. Our three core services are safety consulting, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED training (in English and Spanish), and EV and alternative-fuel motorsports safety. We exist to provide our clients with solutions rather than more problems — at the core of Charlie Division are first responders who want to share their knowledge and skills to empower others to affect safety.

  • What areas do you serve?

e serve businesses and organizations in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area. For consulting and CPR training, we can come to your site anywhere in the region. Virtual consulting sessions are also available.

  • How do I get started?

The simplest way is to fill out a contact form on our website or call us at (704) 931-1133. We'll schedule an initial conversation to understand your needs and match you with the right service.

Consulting

  • What's the difference between a safety audit and what you do?

Most safety companies know OSHA standards inside and out. They'll happily tell you all the code deficiencies you have, then leave you to figure it out. Charlie Division doesn't think this is helpful. Although OSHA is the law and you can't get away from that, there is a difference between being "compliant" and being "safe."

  • Do you offer virtual consulting?

Yes. Our consulting service includes virtual meetings alongside site visits and guided risk management coaching sessions. Whether you need a regular check-in or a one-time sounding board for a complex problem, we can work with you remotely.

  • What industries do you work with?

We work with any business or organization that needs practical safety guidance. Our clients include construction firms, manufacturing facilities, offices, churches, schools, and small businesses without dedicated safety staff. If you have a safety challenge, we can help.

CPR Training

  • What certifications do your classes provide?

All of our classes provide American Red Cross certification. We offer the entire Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED course catalog, and our classes and instructors are backed by the training and research of the American Red Cross.

Yes. CPR training in Spanish is one of our core offerings. We provide fully bilingual instruction to serve the Hispanic community in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. To schedule a class in Spanish, please call us at (704) 931-1133 or complete the contact form on our website.

  • Can you train our group at our location?

Absolutely. If you have more than a few people who need the same training, save time and money by having Charlie Division come to your site for private instruction.

  • How many people do you need for a private class?

We need enough participants to make a group session worthwhile — typically 8 or more. Contact us and we'll work out the right arrangement for your group.

  • What does our site need for on-site training?

All we need is a large enough space for participants to be comfortably on the floor practicing on CPR manikins, chairs for when they're not practicing skills, and a TV or projector to hook our laptop to for the presentation and media — big enough for everyone to see.

  • Do you offer the Red Cross Babysitter Training program?

Yes. The Red Cross Babysitter Training is a comprehensive development seminar that goes beyond CPR — it covers child care, safety, and first aid skills for young caregivers. Contact us for upcoming sessions and availability.

EV & Motorsports

  • Is the motorsports safety service available now?

We are actively building out this service. Charlie Division has deep connections to higher education, fire department HazMat teams, and the automotive and motorsports industries. We're currently focused on conference speaking at racetrack business events and consulting with individual tracks. Contact us to start the conversation.

  • What types of organizations do you work with?

We work primarily with racetracks and motorsports organizations that are preparing to bring electric and alternative-fuel vehicles onto their facilities. We help them assess risks, plan safety protocols, and protect their fans, competitors, and staff. We hear the voices of the motorsports industry wanting to embrace the future — and we're gearing up to answer that call.
